Barbara Viniegra and Gavin N.L. White promoted to Partner at Concepción, Martinez & Bellido

Concepción, Martinez & Bellido today announced that Barbara Viniegra and Gavin N.L. White have been made Partners.

Barbara Viniegra will focus on expanding the firm’s practice in the areas of commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, and appellate practice.

Barbara has substantial experience as an appellate practitioner and has successfully represented clients in appellate proceedings at both the state and federal levels. Barbara currently serves as chair of the membership committee of Dade County Bar Association (“Association”). She also served as a Director of the Association from 2009-2012. She is an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association, Florida International University Alumni Association, the George Washington University Law School Alumni Association, and an honorary member of the Florida International University College of Law Alumni Association.

Before arriving at Concepcion, Martinez & Bellido, Barbara practiced intellectual property litigation at a large New York law firm and complex commercial litigation in a large South Florida firm.  She also clerked for the Honorable Leslie B. Rothenberg at the Florida Third District Court of Appeal.

 

Gavin N.L. White has made a name for himself representing insurance companies, financial institutions and other businesses. focuses his practice on commercial litigation, banking litigation, products liability and insurance coverage. He has also worked extensively in defending corporations from personal injury lawsuits and protecting professionals from malpractice suits. Mr. White has appeared before most departments of the Florida Board of Health, defending medical providers in administrative actions against their licenses as well as businesses threatened with closure due to alleged regulatory violations.
Throughout his career, Mr. White has handled cases across the entire state of Florida. He is licensed to practice in all state courts in Florida, as well as federal court in the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. He has handled matters including large commercial foreclosures, complex products liability and initiating law suits against medical clinics for fraudulent billing practices.

As a Partner of the firm Gavin will focus on expanding the firm’s practice in the areas of banking litigation, commercial litigation and insurance based matters. He will continue to counsel clients on not only what legal avenues are available to them, but also as to what decisions are in their best financial interest.

Before becoming an attorney, Gavin worked in the music industry for many years. As an attorney he worked in a boutique insurance trial firm, and then with a large medical malpractice firm, before joining Concepcion Martinez & Bellido.
